Dr. Walter Goriwoda is a dually qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive specialist education and international clinical experience. Originally trained in Germany and Austria, he has also completed postgraduate training across Australia, South Africa, Switzerland, the UK, and the United States, developing comprehensive expertise in advanced oral, implant, and maxillofacial surgery.
He graduated in Medicine (MD) from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1999 and subsequently earned his Dentistry degree (DMD) from the Medical University of Vienna in 2005. He is also a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, reflecting his commitment to specialist surgical practice and continuous professional development.
Following his formal education, Dr. Walter completed clinical fellowships in Aesthetic Facial Surgery and Functional Rhinoplasty in Sydney, Pretoria, and Texas. He also undertook a clinical fellowship within the Department of General Surgery at the University of Glasgow, further broadening his surgical knowledge and multidisciplinary experience.
Between 2005 and 2007, he worked as a specialist registrar within the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Private University Salzburg and the University Hospital of Zürich. Before moving into private practice in the UAE, he also worked as a consultant at the University Hospital of Craniomaxillofacial & Oral Surgery in Innsbruck.
As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Walter performs a broad range of surgical procedures, including impacted tooth removal and exposure, periradicular surgery, periodontal surgery, surgical orthodontic procedures, and the treatment of soft and hard tissue lesions. His expertise also extends to patients experiencing chronic facial pain and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

Dr. Walter specialises in immediately loaded implants, All-on-4 and All-on-6 techniques, and full-mouth implant rehabilitation. He also uses 3D-guided implant surgery to digitally plan implant placement, particularly in patients presenting with complex or compromised jaw conditions.
When patients have insufficient bone for implant placement, Dr. Walter can perform different pre-prosthetic bone augmentation procedures for both the upper and lower jaws. His combination of surgical expertise, digital implantology, and comprehensive treatment planning enables him to manage challenging cases through an individually tailored approach.
Dr. Walter is also licensed to perform surgical procedures under general anaesthesia and is a certified Invisalign provider. Fluent in German and English, he provides clear communication and personalised care to patients from a wide range of international backgrounds.
